Approved Medications For Use During Pregnancy
Be careful of the medications you take during your pregnancy.  Many medications can harm the baby and you. 

Here is a list of approved medications that are safe to take throughout your pregnancy as well as some dieting guidelines.
Headache: Plain Tylenol - Do not use Advil or Aspirin
Colds: Sudafed, Actifed, Robitussin and cough drops
Heartburn: Tums and Rolaids
Constipation: Metamucil, Citracil and Surfak
Yeast Infection: Monistat 7
Milk and milk products: 4 Servings per day
Meat and meat substitute: 3 Servings per day
Fruits and vegetables: 5 Servings per day
Grains: 6 Servings per day
Fats: 6 Servings per day
It is also important to drink at least 6 - 8 glasses of water per day to support the body's extra demand for fluid and continual replenishing of amniotic fluid.

Caffeine - Drink no more than 1 - 2 servings per day.
Artificial sweetners - No more than 1 - 2 servings per day

Normal weight gain for pregnancy is 25 - 35 pounds.
